Start a new blog sweetie! But make sure to keep your archives - good and bad. I recently found mind and had a good laugh, cry and head shake - but it put so much in perspective and really made me think. Please let me know what you do....I was just updating my blogroll and I'll keep yours as is for now. I miss YOU!

Hey,

Happened onto your blog via some cool photography and noticed this post...

If you still have the pain, have you considered looking into 'tapping' or 'EFT'? I'm pretty sure you'll find it helpful.

As to the blog... Keep it. I go for months sometimes without posting stuff on mine, even years... :p If you are uncertain about keeping posts, then keep them - only get rid of stuff when you are absolutely certain.

Regards,
Matthew

Clean slate--no point in rehashing through the painful moments. I, too had to take a hiatus from blogging. My soul was overwhelmed!!!

If this one has bad memories, then start a new blog... a photog one :)
If you're only posting one photo in a post, then there's a really nice layout too ;) and it won't work with all this text

@kurt: Thanks for your insightful comment! I really appreciate the time you took to respond.

However, let me ask you this....how is parenting sacrificing a "pursuit of life"? Surely you can apply these principles to parenting? And who is to say what "living life to the fullest is" anyway? It is many different things, to many different people. People who have sacrificed their pursuit of life 'full throttle' for the benefit of others around them, may be living life to THEIR fullest. Only that individual can know.

It is my sincere belief that there is no such thing as "sacrifice". Everyone who "sacrifices" is getting something out of it, even if it's just the warm fuzzy feeling of doing something for someone else. This is in no way "belittling", but actually empowering.

Peace be with you.

This poem is nice, but what I do not like about life-affirming poems and messages is that they subtly imply that the people that do not 'live life to the fullest' are somehow not living up to their potential as a human being. And I really dislike this notion because it belittles all of the hard working people that have sacrificed their pursuit of life 'full throttle' for the benefit of others around them. Parents specifically come to mind.

Sorry for the rant...

Thanks for this Nats - I too experience turmoil and heartache about my precious sister in SA who I miss plus extended family and many, many friends.... I think it goes deep and probably intensifies the questions about who I am, where I belong and what my purpose is.... xxxx
